We are hiring!
We are excited to be looking for two roles, to join our supportive and cheerful staff team.
Operations Manager (Finance, Governance and Projects)
This is an opportunity for someone who is eager to bring their operational skills and strategic perspective to enable our church to flourish in its mission and ministry.
We are seeking a team player who is practical, organised and focused, confident in taking initiative – all underpinned by a prayerful love and warmth for other people both inside and outside the church. They will enjoy the support of a well-integrated leadership team, including staff and volunteers with healthy and valued working relationships.
The role includes the opportunity for increased hours to develop and manage specific areas, depending on the gifts and passions of the candidate.
This could include:
- developing and co-ordinating musical worship for the church with the Vicar;
- managing and developing our Open Door community meal;
- leading an overhaul of our website and other communications;
- managing practicalities of future church weekends away or other major events.
Hours: 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase this to 22.5 hours to develop and manage particular projects or priorities (as above).
Salary: £30-34,000 pro rata (depending on experience).

Children’s Minister.
This is a great opportunity for a leader to bring vision and oversight to our children’s ministry, both on Sundays and during the week, with church families and the wider community. As the Psalmist writes, “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts” (Psalm 145:4) – we want to join in with this vision at Christ Church.
We are seeking someone with a passion for enabling children from a variety of backgrounds to encounter, explore and share God’s love in Christ. They will enjoy the active support of a leadership team committed to doing what it takes to invest in children and younger generations, including adapting and changing where necessary. They will work with dedicated volunteers, and will minister in a prayer-fuelled, faith-filled environment in which holy experimentation and fun is not only welcomed but encouraged and nurtured.
This role will especially suit someone who has a heart for ministering in multi-cultural communities, and who is excited by the opportunity to pioneer excellent children’s work within this setting.
Hours: 28 hours per week (including the mornings of Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – other hours by agreement).
Salary: £30-34,000 pro rata (depending on experience).
