Our kick-off question(s) this week: Thoughts and prayers, or words and actions? Are they opposite? Is one better than the other? What does prayer do? Is it just an easy way out of doing anything?

Tuesday 2 June
  • 9:00am Morning Prayer

    Join us for Morning Prayer at 9:00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in church. The order of service for each day can be found here or by downloading the Daily Prayer app to your phone or tablet.

  • 11:00am Moving into Wellness

    If you are wanting to get moving again; if you are a little creaky around the joints or hoping to find muscles you never knew you had, come and join our 'Moving into Wellbeing' group. You will get a very warm welcome, and a gentle chair based introduction into movement exercises at a pace you can cope with.
    Come and give us a try - it's friendly and fine just to turn up!
    We ask all those who can to contribute £3 per session to help us keep this incredible session going.

  • 12:00pm Open Door - Community Drop In

    All are welcome to join us around the lunch table - Lunch is served at 12.30pm with an opportunity to chat and join in the range of activities that are offered from time to time.

  • 1:45pm Alpha Course 2026- Stay Curious?

    This is a friendly, non-judgemental space, to chat about faith, life and meaning. With a hot meal at 12.45, and the Alpha session starting at 1.45, there's space for anyone at the table. Finish time approx 3pm. Location: Chapel in Christ Church, Gipsy Hill.

  • 8:00pm Beers and Questions @ The Great Southern

    Have you got a friend who's always got questions about faith?  Bring them along to the Great Southern for one of our Beer* and Questions evenings from 8 pm- a friendly and non-judgemental space to chat. *other drinks available

  • 10:00am Playpen - stay and play toddler group

    Playpen
    Come and join us for our wonderful stay and play group for toddlers. Doors open at 10.15am.
    Admission is £3 for carer and child. We have moved to a cash-less system so please come equipped for card payments. Follow us on Facebook too for more updates!

  • 2:00pm Magnolia Club - Drop in for those with dementia and their carers.

    This group is run in collaboration with Age UK Lambeth.

    Dementia services are drop-in groups open to anyone affected by dementia, including carers. We offer a range of activities, from arts and crafts to singing, music, and summer day trips. You’ll always find a good chat, a cuppa and lots of laughter! The groups have:

    No attendance fee
    No need to book, just drop by
    Free parking and disabled access
    Refreshments, fun, companionship and support

    For more information please call 07706 628890 or email dementiasupport@ageuklambeth.org and ask to speak to someone about the Magnolia clubs. Lines open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (closed on weekends and bank holidays).
