Open Door is our long running community drop in. After being suspended during the pandemic, we were delighted to re-open the doors in September 2021. We welcome visitors from 12pm, serving lunch at 12.30 and offering a warm welcome, friendship and conversation and a range of different activities until 2.30pm.
The Open Door Kitchen, which was launched out of Open Door during the pandemic continues to offer food deliveries to those struggling to put food on the table in wider Gipsy Hill area*.
We deliver hot meals on Tuesday lunchtimes, and can offer an emergency provision of frozen meals on a Friday for those in immediate need. Choose between a meat or vegetarian option, which will be delivered ‘contactless’ to the door.
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from this service, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you need support, information or guidance about benefits, debt, housing or other issues, you can call us on Tuesday afternoons between 2 and 4pm when you will be able to speak with a trained adviser.
*Our delivery zone covers SE27, SE19 and SE21 south of the A205
We are really grateful for the support of Friends of Gipsy Hill and London Community Response Fund, who have enabled us to fund this service, and for Cook, West Dulwich, who have so kindly donated frozen meals.
