Sundays

Sundays 10:30am - in person and online

The whole church gathers together for worship on Sunday mornings at 10.30am. We sing well-known hymns and modern worship songs, pray, listen to God’s word preached, share church family news and enjoy catching up over tea and coffee together afterwards. On the second and fourth Sundays we celebrate Holy Communion.

For Farsi speakers, our sermons and orders of service are translated into Farsi, and we often include songs or prayers in Farsi, too.

During this service our children’s and youth groups meet for Sunday school.

The 10:30am service is also livestreamed on our Facebook page (Christ Church Gipsy Hill). You don't need an account to watch! Once on the Facebook page, simply scroll down and the most recent video should be visible. There will be a link to the Order of Service below the video each week and you can watch the service on catch up from that page if you miss the live broadcast.

Early Holy Communion

On the 1st Sunday of each month we have an early service of Holy Communion at 09:00am. A short said service providing quiet space for reflection with a short sermon.

Inspire

Inspire is an informal evening service of modern worship, teaching and prayer ministry with a contemporary charismatic feel. We meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 6.30pm in the Narthex (use Christ Church main doors to access). There is greater time given over to sung worship and prayer ministry than in our morning services, and our talks often involve space to discuss in small groups. We also get to hear stories of God at work in our lives. At Inspire, we come ready to be encouraged by God through anyone in the room. We look forward to seeing you there!

Midweek communion

We offer a monthly service of Holy Communion at lunchtime on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Join us for soup and a roll from 12.30, with a short service at 1pm. If you need help getting to us, please email jenny@gipsyhill.org.uk and we will endeavour to find a lift for you!

Farsi Christian Fellowship

On the 3rd Sunday of the month, at 4.30pm, we host our monthly Farsi Christian Fellowship services- an opportunity for members of the Farsi-speaking community to gather together to enjoy worship, prayer, teaching and Holy Communion in Farsi. After the service we share a meal together and often end the night with dancing. We welcome all Farsi-speakers to these events, including those who attend other churches in Southwark Diocese.
