Speaker: Paula Gooder

After studying in Oxford, Paula spent 12 years in theological education, before making the move to freelance work. Her research areas include the writings of Paul, with a particular emphasis on 2 Corinthians and Mysticism, Biblical Interpretation and the Development of Ministry in the Early Church.  As well as lecturing at a number of universities, Paula is Canon Theologian of Birmingham and Guildford Cathedrals, a Reader in the Birmingham Diocese and a member of General Synod.  Paula lives in Birmingham with her husband Peter and two daughters Susie and Ruth.
